The Kind of Comment Any Writer Would Like to Read

I haven't signed up for Google Alerts. I don't hit the Internet looking for stuff about myself, because I'm the kind of person who expects the worst and who is insecure enough to fear demoralization. So I'm happy that this post by children's book writer Deva Fagan reached me by accident, as I might never have seen it otherwise. This is a reader who understood what I was trying to do in my Seed trilogy, and that's one of the best things that can happen to any writer--finding readers who actually discern your intentions.

I first found out about Nick Bostrom some years back after reading his "proof" that we're all living in a computer simulation. He continues to be provocative in a recent interview for the Atlantic about what he considers to be the underestimated possibility of human extinction.
